Typhoon Chedeng Social Media Resources

a Facebook page on Chedeng
Similar to last year's trend where a new Facebook page was created for every typhoon that entered the Philippine area of responsibility, it's apparent this year as the 1st major typhoon  Chedeng (with the international name of Songda) is visible on social media.

On facebook, there are 2 pages on Chedeng, one named "Bagyong Chedeng" at http://www.facebook.com/bagyongchedeng?sk=wall with 83 followers as of this writing and "Typhoon Chedeng" at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Typhoon-Chedeng/203947892973722 currently with 10 followers.

On twitter, the hashtags associated with this typhoon are #Chedeng ,  #ChedengWatch for local twitter discussions and  #Songda , #WeatherTweet for more global tweet sources.   Expect more occurences and possibly trending topics on the typhoon as it intensifies and makes its presence known within the Philippine area of responsibility.
